Japan Alumni Network
Join the UCLA Japan Alumni Network at the Historic Elizabeth Saunders Home on Volunteer Day. The Historic Elizabeth Saunders Home was founded as an orphanage for 2,000 Amerasian children from World War II, and it now serves as a shelter for abused children and has been visited by the Emperor and Empress. The Miki Sawada Memorial Museum, named after its socialite founder, located at the Elizabeth Sounder’s Home, needs assistance in cleaning up its garden (mostly to pick up fallen leaves) and organizing the underground storage area.
