Each week, the UCLA Volunteer Center will post a comprehensive list of food fundraisers on UCLA’s campus. These fundraisers support student organization and campus causes while providing a cheap alternative for dining. If you are an organization who wishes to participate and promote your fundraiser, please fill out our Hunger Hotspots application.
Organization: Pilipinos for Community Health
Selling: Spam Musubi
Price: $2 (may be subject to change), Cash
Date & Time: Monday, February 27th: 10am-2pm
Location: Court of Sciences
Cause: Come support our fundraiser by purchasing some yummy spam musubi! All proceeds go directly towards our Medical Outreach Banquet where we raise funds to send medical supplies to various clinics in need of supplies in the Philippines.
Organization: Afrikan Education Project
Selling: Soul Food Plate: Chicken, Maceroni, Greens, Sweet Roll, and Desert!
Price: $5 or $6 plates
Date & Time: 2/28/2012 12-2pm
Location: Student Activity Center Lounge
Cause: The fundraiser will be for our Afrikan Education Project service recipients. They are kids from 6-16. Each year we fundraise for different tools, items, and things that they need but that they are not able to afford.
Organization: Vietnamese Community Health
Selling: Cake pops, Truffles, Cupcakes, and Donuts
Price: $1 each ( 3 for $2 for Cake Pops and Truffles), Cash
Date & Time: 2/29/2010, 10AM – 3PM
Location: Bruin Walk
Cause: Come get your sugar fix while supporting us in our mission to help those without health insurance in Vietnamese communities in Orange County. All proceeds will go towards our quarterly Health Sites and Health Fairs as well as Kids’ Carnival during the Spring Quarter.
Organization: Best Buddies at UCLA
Selling: Anything at Rubios
Price: Prices vary. Be sure to get a flier from people fliering in front of the food court and turn in the flier when you pay.
Date & Time: March 1, 2012, 2 to 9 p.m.
Location: Rubios in Ackerman
Cause: The money will go to Best Buddies at UCLA, an organization that foster friendship between college students and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The money will go towards funding events such as Spread the word to end the word, a campaign to stop the use of the r-word.
