Hunger Hotspots: Campus Fundraisers for 2/21/12 – 2/24/12

Each week, the UCLA Volunteer Center will post a comprehensive list of food fundraisers on UCLA’s campus. These fundraisers support student organization and campus causes while providing a cheap alternative for dining. If you are an organization who wishes to participate and promote your fundraiser, please fill out our Hunger Hotspots application.

Campus Fundraisers for 2/21/12 – 2/24/12

Organization: Nursing Students at UCLA
Selling: Boba & baked goods
Price: $2 per cupcake, $2-3 a bag of cookies, $3 for each Boba Drink
Date & Time: February 22- 10am-2pm
Location: Bruin Plaza
Cause: Nursing Students at UCLA

Organization: Amigos de UCLA
Selling: Tamales and Horchata
Price: $5.00 CASH ONLY
Date & Time: February 22, 2012 6-9pm
Location: Delivery
Cause: Amigos de UCLA proudly presents its first annual TamalePalooza. Please help support Amigos de UCLA by purchasing a combo order which includes two delicious tamales (chicken or cheese) and one thirst-quenching horchata for only $5!

We’ll be delivering the tamale orders on February 22, 2012. You can choose to have your order delivered in one of the following time intervals:

Proceeds from this event go to fund star reader prizes, snacks, materials, and transportation for the socio-economically disadvantaged children that Amigos de UCLA serves.

PLEASE NOTE that for off-campus individuals, we will be able to delivery ONLY to addresses NORTH of WILSHIRE & EAST of VETERAN. CASH ONLY!!!

Cause: The money will go to support our group’s efforts to combat illiteracy in Los Angeles. The funds will be applied toward daily program costs.
