Friends of the LA River (FoLAR) hosts a monthly habitat restoration day where community volunteers can join us to remove invasive plants, and water/care for recently planted native species. They partner with the California Native Plant Society for this restoration work, which will take place from 8:00-10:00am. They also partner with the San Fernando Valley Audubon Society who leads an optional nature walk from 10:00-11:00am after the restoration work.

Time: 9am - 11am

(Please be aware that the time listed is for the actual service project. If you are taking the bus to the project site, we will ask volunteers to meet at a central location beginning at 7am for breakfast and to account for travel time to the project site.)
