Friends of Ballona Wetlands

This is a photo of the Ballona Wetlands.

The mission of the Ballona Wetlands is to champion the restoration and protection of the Ballona Wetlands while involving and educating the public as advocates and stewards. Their habitat restoration events are focused on removing invasive plant species so our native plants can have more room to grow and thrive. Healthy native plant life is one of the foundations of a healthy native ecosystem, so these restoration events have immediate visible as well as long-term benefits for the ecological reserve. Roll up your sleeves and join us, your hands-on participation helps revive this rare coastal habitat and keep our coastal waters safe and clean. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own water bottle and gardening gloves if you have them.
