The USAC Community Service Commission (CSC) represents the voice of community service at UCLA in student government. It acts as the umbrella organization for 23 continuous service projects at UCLA— ranging from tutoring youths— adults— and incarcerated youth and neglected children— to addressing the health needs of various communities— and combating poverty and homelessness. CSC conducts large-scale service events such as ||||Day of Service||||— allowing students to get involved in one-day projects and ||||Non-profit Networking Night||||— where Bruins interested in a career in non-profits have the opportunity to meet local firms. Additionally— CSC runs the UCLA Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program— giving students the opportunity to give back and connect with the greater Los Angeles community as well as the US by providing service during their week of break. CSC is focused on providing Bruins with the skills needed to make an impact in their community.
