The Casa Heiwa and Angelina Mentorship Program (CHAMPs) is a CSC project that provides mentoring and tutoring to youths residing in the Angelina and Casa Heiwa apartment complexes of Echo Park and Little Tokyo. Volunteers provide academic and social support for students from elementary school through high school— tailoring programs to fit each age groups specific need including activities such as fieldtrips— workshops— and guest speakers.
