In collaboration with the College of Letters and Science, the UCLA Volunteer Center will honor 140 graduating seniors who have upheld the True Bruin standard of service during their time at UCLA. Honored students must have shown significant involvement within a community service project, and/or will enter the Peace Corps within the next year. To honor UCLA’s dedication to service, and acknowledge Commencement speaker and Peace Corps Director Aaron S. Williams, chosen students will carry flags representing each of the nations the Peace Corps has served. Honored students will also be distinguished by wearing a special cord or sash during the Commencement ceremony.

Eligibility:
– Applicants must be graduating in the Class of 2011, and will participate in the College Commencement Ceremony (Class of 2011 includes students who are degree candidates for the Fall 2010, Winter 2011, Spring 2011 or Summer 2011)
– Applicants must have involvement in community service
