Carthay Environmental Studies Stem Magnet Elementary

Carthay Environmental Studies Magnet PTA is the parent volunteer-led organization for Carthay Elementary, a public school. Our students travel from all over Los Angeles, including underserved areas, to participate in our environmental studies program. Our families represent the diversity of Los Angeles and speak over a dozen different languages from around the world including Spanish, Punjabi, Filipino, Russian, Korean, and Hebrew. More than half of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

For this event, volunteers will help with beautification tasks, prep the students' garden beds for fall planting, maintain their edible garden and start planting seeds.
