The UCLA VOLUNTEER CENTER serves as a clearinghouse of information about organizations or individuals (hereinafter collectively “organizations”) on campus, and inside and outside the Los Angeles area with a need for volunteers. As such, the UCLA Volunteer Center is not responsible for the acts or omissions of the organizations that are described in this information.
In using the information and services of the UCLA VOLUNTEER CENTER, you acknowledge the limited role of the UCLA Volunteer Center. You also acknowledge and understand that UCLA Volunteer Center does not inspect or approve the activities, programs, or facilities of any organization about which information is provided and that your use of the services of the UCLA VOLUNTEER CENTER is strictly voluntary.
You understand that any organization about which you receive information may have its own policies and screening procedures (including, without limitation, a criminal background check or sex offender registry check) to which you must abide as a condition of your participation with that organization.
As a condition of your use of the UCLA VOLUNTEER CENTER, you, on behalf of yourself, your heirs, successors and assigns, release and discharge The Regents of the University of California, its officers, employees, students and agents, including those of the UCLA VOLUNTEER CENTER, from all costs, claims, demands, lawsuits, and causes of action, of any nature, for injuries sustained to your person (including death) and/or damage to or destruction of property resulting from your use of the services of the UCLA VOLUNTEER CENTER. You understand that this release is intended to be read as broadly as the law will allow.
You understand that you grant to The Regents of the University of California permission to reproduce, without compensation, your name and image in photos, audio or video and in publications of the Regents of the University of California, including print, broadcast and web pages.
You acknowledge that you are an adult, 18 years or older, and have read and understand this agreement and freely and knowingly give consent to The Regents of the University of California as described herein.
(Note: If you are under 18 years old, you must obtain the necessary permission forms from the sponsoring organization of the volunteer projects and have them signed by a parent or guardian.)
