UCLA Day in Downtown LA is a university advocacy day at Los Angeles City Hall. UCLA will take a delegation of advocates to City Hall to meet with Los Angeles City Councilmembers and Los Angeles County Supervisors. Volunteers will be asked to help set-up and facilitate the logistics of the lunch and briefing for delegates (Note: Volunteers will not attend meetings with elected officials). This shift is from 9 AM to 2 PM.
The UCLA Day in Downtown LA annual reception will take place at the Los Angeles Police Department Ronald F. Deaton Auditorium (across from City Hall). This event is a networking opportunity for current students, alumni, staff and community leaders. It will also feature a formal program and panel discussion on the topic of homelessness in Los Angeles. Volunteers will be asked to help in set-up, registration and directing guests to the event. This shift is from 3 PM to 8 PM.
Volunteers must sign up and be confirmed as space is limited.
