We provide low-cost tutoring services to the residents around West Adams. Along with tutoring, we strive to be a positive influence in our students lives.
We have after school programs here from 3:00-7:00pm Monday through Thursday and Saturdays from 10:00am-2:00pm.
We also provide adult tutoring and adult computer literacy courses during the day.
Volunteer tutors are expected to be able to work well with kids and be able to assist students with their school work or skills. Tutors are expected to be available at least one shift a week for most weeks. Math and science literacy is a plus but not required. Spanish speaking is also a plus. A quick orientation is done on site after you have been brought on board. Dress code is casual to business casual.
**We are also looking for non-tutor volunteers to help with social media/marketing/outreach, sustainability projects and cirriculum, accounting, graphic design, professional writing, etc. We provide all training on site and will work with volunteers to find a good match within our organization.
Check out our website!
After school Monday through Thursday (3pm to 7pm) and Saturdays (10am-2pm).
