Expand the Worlds of Individuals with Disabilities

Posted on July 15th, 2016

Location: CA 90077
Duration: Ongoing
First Day : Jul 15, 2016

Live Advance LA is a non-profit independent living program that serves 18-29 year olds who are learning the necessary skills to eventually live on their own. We are looking for volunteers to share their talents and/or interests with our residents to help expand their worlds and expose them to new things.

Volunteers would host a 30-60 minute “workshop” anytime Monday through Friday during the hours of 4-7 pm. Potential topics are endless– cooking, sports, scrapbooking, singing, social activism, dancing, art… we’re open to most anything! We hope that volunteers would commit to a regular schedule, even if it means they can only come once a month for a few months.
