Education Volunteering Overseas

Posted on August 3rd, 2016

Duration: Ongoing
First Day : Aug 31, 2016

The impact of education is boundless and the influence our Teaching volunteers have on the communities we work in goes well beyond the classroom. Whether teaching English, other subjects or working on extracurricular activities, the students are eager to learn and participate. Volunteers may teach independently, provide support to local teachers or team up with other international volunteers in traditional classrooms, tutoring programs, community centers, special needs facilities and orphanages.

Education Volunteers can work in nurseries, early childhood education centers, primary or secondary schools, community after school centers, and with adults in adult education classes. Depending on the education project and location, students can range from 3 to 40 years old. Teachers have the opportunity to teach a wide range of subjects depending on the location and project chosen but can include, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, Music, Sports, Arts, History, and Social Sciences. Volunteers with initiative can also expose students to new subjects, inspiring them to think about their futures and follow their dreams.
