Building Resilience & Food Security in Afghanistan Post U.S. Withdrawal

Posted on September 1st, 2015

Location: 168 South Los Robles Ave Pasadena CA 91101
Duration: Single Day
Date: Sep 14, 2015

We are a non-profit organization called Nutrition and Education International (NEI). Our organization focuses on alleviating hunger through soybean farming and meal programs in Afghanistan. Our development model is built on self reliance and empowerment of both male and female farmers. Over the last 12 years we have helped over 1.7 million vulnerable women in children in refugee camps and schools for the vision and hearing impaired. Please visit: and for more information on NEI.

We are hosting a free symposium luncheon on food security, humanitarian aid, and women’s empowerment initiatives. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Claude Jibidar, the Country Director for Afghanistan, U.N. World Food Programme.

We are currently recruiting volunteers to help us with this event.
