r ABOUT THE POSITION: Seeking individuals 21 years of age and over to mentor our YouthBuild Students. YouthBuild students are young adults ages (16-24) who are in the process of obtaining their high school diploma, while simultaneously learning construction skills and building affordable housing for low-income families.
r Individuals interested in being mentors will be enrolled as AmeriCorps members and will be required to complete 300 hours within a 10 month time frame. Upon successful completion of the 300 hours, Mentors will receive a $1,195 AmeriCorps scholarship. Mentors must be U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent residents, must pass a background checked (paid for by CCEO), and must be available on Fridays and once a month on Saturdays.
