2nd Annual Phil Stern Veterans Art Show Fundraiser

The West Los Angeles Veterans Home will be hosting the 2nd Annual Phil Stern Veterans Art Show Fundraiser on Saturday Sept. 10th from 1 p.m. – 4:30 p .m. The group exhibition will showcase the work of veteran artists including photographers Stacy Pearsall, Joan Pahoyo, and Mike Guinto: pastel and oil painter Otto Stürcke, pen and ink maritime artist Michael J. Obney and Pulitzer Prize Winning photographer Nick Ut.
U.S. Air Force veteran, Ken Hackman will be honored with a well-deserved career retrospective. The Studio City resident is also known as the “The Godfather of Military Visual Information,” for his founding of the prestigious Air Force Photojournalism program at Syracuse University in 1971 and longtime director of the annual Military Photographer of the Year competition for more than 25 years.

West Los Angeles Veterans Home Support Foundation supports the programs of he Veterans home of California – West Los Angeles. The Veterans Home is home to over 300 veterans in need of care. .
