17th Eagle Rock Music Festival 2016

Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock’s mission is to be innovative in providing multidisciplinary, arts-inclusive programming to the diverse communities of northeast Los Angeles… and beyond.

 

Event Description: The Eagle Rock Music Festival, presented by Councilman Jose Huizar and produced by Center for the Arts Eagle Rock, is a nationally noted community street festival showcasing a variety of innovative, multicultural and local music every October since 1998. The festival hosts Los Angeles based acts at a various locations along its “main street”, Colorado Boulevard, in the progressive and multigenerational Eagle Rock neighborhood. It is designed to celebrate Eagle Rock and support local business, community and culture. The all-ages festival has set itself apart by showing a commitment to booking emerging artists who live and work in the community.

 

Recognized for fostering a unifying community atmosphere while maintaining a commitment to groundbreaking music the Eagle Rock Music Festival is a local event with citywide appeal.

 

Volunteer Role & Responsibilities: 

Read below the following positions available and times available. 

SET-UP: Assisting with last minute preparations (setting up booths, tables, chairs, signage, fire lane closures and rope off caution tape bike racks) (may need to lift up to 15 lbs) 

SPONSOR SUPPORT/FLOATERS: Assist sponsor’s with setting up their booth and any other needed tasks on route. 

GREETER: Do you like to interact with people? Are you a people watcher? Love seeing those excited faces? These volunteers will be directly involved with guest attending the festival to provide information, directions and welcoming them with a smile. (Smiles a must!) 

BOOTH/ ROUTE SUPPORT: Mobile volunteers assisting with stage set-up, monitoring green room, assisting at info booth, and providing directions. 

SHUTTLE VOLUNTEERS: Welcoming attendees and guiding them to buses. 

BREAK DOWN: Assisting with tear down, packaging and transfer to ERMF supplies and signage back to Center for the Arts Eagle Rock.

Time Commitment: Volunteers are asked to commit to at least 3.5 hours.

Must attend orientation on either:

 

Tuesday August 9th @ 7PM

Wednesday August 10th @ 7PM

Thursday August 11th @ 7PM 

at the Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock

  

Benefits: All volunteers will receive the exclusive ERMF 2016 Mixtape download

 

Volunteers that complete any EVENING OR LATE EVENING shift on August 20th will receive:

ERMF Mixtape + 1 Ticket to any event at CFAER

 

Volunteers that complete TWO OR MORE shifts (must include LATE EVENING shift on day of) will receive:

ERMF Mixtape + 2 TICKETS to any event at CFAER

 

**Shifts must be completed and tickets will be subject to availability**

Festival time: 4 PM - 10 PM
Morning Shift (Set-up): 9AM - 3PM
Afternoon Shift (Greeting/Booths): 3PM - 7:30PM
Evening Shift (Breakdown): 9PM - 11PM
