Alumni Association

Alumni are encouraged to participate in the volunteer programs offered by the UCLA Alumni Association. They are wonderful opportunities to network with alumni with similar interests, interact with current or future students and contribute to the well-being of the University.

Archaeology

Are you interested in archaeology? The Cotsen Institute of Archaeology offers many opportunities for volunteers to participate in cutting-edge research projects.

Design for Sharing

The education component of UCLA Live, the campus’ performing arts organization, Design for Sharing volunteers help with programs for K-12 students, and also coordinate office projects.

Fowler Museum of Cultural History

You can volunteer as a lab assistant at the Fowler Museum, working on art conservation projects. Training is provided.

Law School Volunteer Witness Program

In a program unique in the nation, volunteers act as clients, witnesses and jurors in training UCLA law students to be competent lawyers.

Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden

Volunteers at the seven-acre Mathias Garden lead tours for schools and civic groups. Also welcome are volunteer gardeners to work with the more than 5,000 species in the garden.

UCLA Live Volunteer Usher Corps

Joining the UCLA Live Volunteer Usher Corps is a great way to support your favorite arts organization, and you can also see shows for free.


Volunteering for Health Programs

UCLA offers hundreds of opportunities to volunteer for health and medical programs. Here are some major programs, as well as specialized health and medical programs that need volunteers.

UCLA Health System

The department of Volunteer Services at UCLA Health System supports the hospital by providing volunteers with opportunities to provide service and support to hospital staff, patients and visitors. In addition, volunteers play a significant supporting role in the overall operation of the Health System.

Blood and Platelet Center

Volunteers help recruit participants for the center’s vital work providing blood and platelets for the UCLA Health System and other medical organizations. The center is also looking for individuals willing to donate blood.
