UCLA Volunteer Day

We answered the call!

On September 20, 2009, four columns of blue light extended to the sky — the beacon summoning the community of heroes.

On September 21, 2009, a giant evening rally gathered the community of heroes together.

On September 22, 2009, the largest single day volunteer event in UCLA’s history took place!

Over 4000 new students took 100 buses and were led by 600 student, staff, faculty and alumni leaders to eight locations around Los Angeles to improve schools, restore beach trail and areas of park and assist in the lives of Veterans.
