Taimi Jacobson is a passionate supporter of community service, and is about to complete her second year as the Office of Residential Life Representative to the Volunteer Center Fellows. She also served as the Volunteer Center’s Summer Intern last summer through the UCLA External Affairs Internship in University Advancement and Philanthropy, where she helped to create and execute UCLA Volunteer Day 2013 as well as various One Bus, One Cause projects. In addition to her volunteer work with the Volunteer Center, Taimi is a Resident Advisor in Dykstra Hall, a volunteer tutor for Amigos de UCLA, and a tax-filer for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).
Taimi has participated in more One Bus, One Cause service projects than any other volunteer! Last weekend, she served at Mark Twain Middle School’s community garden for the third time, where she helped to plant new foliage, remove old plants, create a garden pathway, and work on several other projects at the school. In the following video, Taimi shares why she is passionate about volunteer service:
Help students like Taimi continue their volunteer service by supporting our UCLA Spark Crowdfunding Drive. Thank you, Taimi!
